Tanglestar was talking quietly with his brother. Fairly recently the newly made EmberClan had suffered a tragic fate. A group of rouge foxes had trampled into their camp and caught the cats of EmberClan off guard. Fighting for their lives as well as their new home, the cats of the Clan fought hard and fierce. In the process of driving the foxes away Goldentail, a ginger tabby she-cat had joined StarClan.
But there is always a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark and hopeless it seems. In the middle of the battle, two cats must of heard the racket of screeches of rage and fury because the two cats came to help EmberClan. With the help of the new cats they were able to drive the remaining foxes off.
"Thank you," Tanglestar had meowed, eternely gratefully for the help of the she-cat and young tom. "Would you like to join us?"
Nodding, the she-cat had accepted the offer, as well as the black tom.

The light, sandy brown tabby leaped onto the emberstone. A bright ember that shown bright whenever the sun let it's light shine down.
"Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the emberstone for a Clan meeting," Tanglestar began. "Today, we suffered a great loss with Goldentail, but we also have endured a lot while we were beginning our new clan. Cats of EmberClan, I welcome Silverfang as a warrior for EmberClan. Please welcome her," He waited patiently as his clanmates, though tired and sore, called out the she-cats name. Tanglestar than turned his piercing amber gaze to Blackpaw.
"By naming apprentices it shows EmberClan is strong and will remain strong for future generations. Blackpaw, your name will remain the same until you recieve your warrior name. Adderstrike, I trust you and I hope that having an apprentice will help you mature," there was a quiet ripple of laughs that passed through the clan as Adderstrike stuck his tounge out at his brother and went to stand beside Blackpaw. "Swiftpaw, you've not yet have a mentor, Silverfang will be your mentor.
That is all, Clan dismissed."
Blackpaw bounded forward to touch noses with his new mentor. "When do we get to hunt?" he asked, eyes sparkling.
ReplyDeleteSilverfang touched noses with Swiftpaw. "I'll teach you the best I can," she promised.
"Now, if that's what you want," Adderstrike meowed.
ReplyDelete"I'll be the best apprentice ever!" Swiftpaw vowed.
Blackpaw almost bounced in excitement. "Really?" he asked. Silverfang padded over to the two. "Adderstrike," she said. "Could we go around the territory with our apprentices together? I still don't know our turf that well..."
ReplyDelete"Really." He turned around, hearing Silverfang, "Sure, why not?" Adderstrike meowed.
ReplyDelete"Cool, we get to train together!" Swiftpaw meowed to Blackpaw.
Blackpaw smiled at the other apprentice. "Let's become warriors before the others do!" he said, eyes full of determination.
ReplyDeleteSilverfang looked back. "Let's get going!" she said, heading for the camp entrance.
"We will!" Swiftpaw meowed, proud and determined.
ReplyDeleteAdderstrike rolled his eyes at the two apprentices and padded to the entrance.
Blackpaw raced after his mentor. "Race you there!" he called over his shoulder at Swiftpaw.
ReplyDeleteSilverfang, already standing at the entrance, sighed.
"I bet I can beat both of you!" Adderstrike challenged and raced forward, almost running into Silverfang.
ReplyDeleteSwiftpaw shot a confused glance at Blackpaw before saying, "It's on!" He ran forward and propelled himself forward. He wasn't named Swiftpaw for a reason.
Silverfang stepped back. "Watch where you're going," she said calmly, letting him run past.
ReplyDeleteBlackpaw spat as Swiftpaw caught up to him. "I won't let you win!" he said, bunching up his leg muscles and taking a giant leap forward.
Swiftpaw chuckled and sprang up farther until he skidded to a halt at Silverfang's paws. "Where to now?"
ReplyDeleteAdderstrike stopped running and waited for the other's to catch up. Sure he was immature at times btut he didn't care. He was a carefree cat and that's all that mattered to him.
Silverfant shrugged. "Where should we go first?" she asked Addersrike, watching him with careful eyes.
ReplyDeleteBlackpaw stopped and pranced around in place. (..._
